Continuing to Crochet

I have been continuing to crochet a lot lately. Here is what I've made.

These are pictures of my cucumber roll. I am making another one right now. It is probably my favorite thing I've made.

I finished this small piece of cheese and finally finished my round cracker.

This shows how big the cheese is compared to my round and square crackers (I made the square cracker a while ago).

On Our Dumpster

These are some pictures of our dumpster. As you might be able to see we have caterpillars with white spikes on them on our dumpster. I knew we had some of these on our trees and daddy pulled them down and put them in a trash bag. They must have crawled out and started making another nest. It is really scary. I tried to kill them with Windex (not extremely successful) and now mama is trying to kill them with weed killer.

Update on Everything

I got my computer back! I was so happy. For those of you who didn't know, my computer died a couple of months ago. We took it somewhere and got it fixed a week or two ago and now it is on my desk and working.

We went to the library Saturday. I didn't get a whole lot like I usually do because I have a Kindle (which I love and highly recommend). I also had the next school reading book I needed to read on my Kindle along with the next several books I have to read on paper so I just got pleasure reading books at the library. I got Series of Unfortunate Events 1: the Bad Beginning which I finished that afternoon. It was weird because I had read this book before and I was worried about the characters. I also got A True Princess and Where the Mountain Meets the Moon (audio).

When school starts back I will be reading the Prince and the Pauper. Has anybody ever read it? Is it good? After that I will read the Anne of Green Gables series. I have read an adapted version of Anne of Green Gables and listened to the audio I don't know how many times but I have never read after the first book. I will be reading the first book again but I like it anyway.

I have been making a time capsule of school along with Lune Violette. We put things in our boxes and after the school year is up we won't open them till the beginning of the next school year. Would you like to see my first day of school outfit? It is a little weird. I know that I am homeschooled it is just that I wanted to come up with an outfit to wear. I might changed my mind on it.

Everyone please pray for Lune Violette. Today is her first day of public school ever.

Chrissa is up first. I took my jeans and rolled them up, used the shoes from the JLY outfit, silly band rings, used a necklace that I made a while ago, used a shirt from an AG store, and did her hair. I love this outfit.

How deep was the deepest water that you have ever swam in? The answer for my sister and I would be 27 feet. When we were in Alabama we went to the lake with Nana and Papa Jim. They have a pontoon boat which Emily, me, and a bunch of family members went on. We went way out and jumped in the water. It was so much fun.

I cannot believe that I have 41 followers. I still remember the time when I created this blog. I would like to thank Aili for being my newest follower and my friend Corsicapeace for being my oldest follower that wasn't my family.

What Should I Name This Post?

Guess what? We have had a birds nest outside of Emily's window for a month or two now. The eggs just hatched recently and we get to watch the parents feed the babies. One actually died when it fell out of the nest. We can't wait till the birds can fly.

I have been writing independent stories lately. I plan to send them to AG Magazine to see if they will publish any of them. If you get that magazine you might remember the story contest where you had to write a story that had the title "Dress Disaster." I am writing a story like that. I won't be able to send it in but I will be writing something.

I went to the orthodontist again Tuesday and got my expander. Every day Mama takes a key and turns my expander. At first it hurt but the last time she did it it just felt tight. I used to eat really slowly because I wasn't used to it. For everyone who doesn't have an expander, you are lucky to be able to use the whole top of your mouth.

Orthodontist and AWANA

I had to go to the orthodontist today. I thought they were just going to make molds of my teeth but that's not all they did. First they took a bunch of pictures (they have weird machinery). Then they did impressions (molds) which felt like they were putting clay in my mouth and leaving it in there to harden. Finally they put spacers in. It was painful. Have you ever had to have your mouth numbed? That was what it felt like. I now have nine spacers in which will help make room for my expander. I keep worrying that one of them will fall out. If you're wondering what spacers feel like imagine that you have food stuck in your teeth in several places. It gets annoying and I've only had them for a few hours.

Tomorrow night I am playing the piano for the offertory (while the ushers take up offering- Adopt A Club offering in this case). It is during the AWANA awards ceremony. I will be getting the Timothy Award which is what you get for finishing four AWANA books.

A Post with No Name

Hi everybody! Sorry I haven't been posting much. I have been having to use my sister's computer and I can't get on often. I will say that there is a chance that the May issue of Awesome Dolls Magazine will be coming out late.

I stayed up really late last night. Why? We had the Secret Church. What is that? The Secret Church is an event that takes place twice a year in a church in Alabama. It isn't really secret but we meet at night like they do in secret churches in China, India, Russia etc.. This year they decided to simulcast it to homes and churches all over the world. There were people gathered in Greece and India even (of course it was day time there). The people from our church were there from 7:00 pm till 1:00 am. It was amazing even though the speaker started crying 5 minutes into it (he was very passionate).

My sister really wants her computer back. I won't be able to post often because she never wants me on but I will try.

Dance Competition

Emily's dance competition was today. She did really well on her tap solo. Her tap class is tomorrow. When awards came I could feel my heart beating like crazy. She got first place (there is some sort of award system but the dancers aren't competing against each other really; all I will say is that first place is not the highest or lowest score). She also got what is called Kar Kids. It is where you get invited to New York to have classes with some professionals or something like that. Unfortunately it is extremely expensive and we won't be able to go. only about 10 people got it. The worst part about dance competition is that you have to sit there and watch endless other dancers who you don't know. The production numbers can be pretty good but once you see a few of them you are bored of them. They did have some pretty good conservative jazz dancers which I was glad of. Well that is the first day. We still have one more to go. (we actually have to miss church for tomorrow!)

Another Random Post? When Will They Stop?

Hi everybody! I know I haven't been posting much. It is raining where I am at this time. April showers definitely brings May flowers here. It is going to be hard to do the second round for Gabby's photo contest without going outside. It sounds like it is picking up. I usually love rain and storms but this is too much. I got caught in a rainstorm on the way to the other side of our neighborhood last week. It turned out that the people who's house I was going to weren't home. When I got back home the storm sirens went off. I won't ride my bike in weather that looks like rain is coming. I am doing a school project where I write my own commentary on the book of James (in the Bible). It is going to be pretty long. I just started today. I filled out 6 or 7 note cards on the first 1 1/2 pages of a James MacArthur book about the book of James. My dishcloth business isn't going great. I am making them pretty quickly but they are hard to sell. I have made $25 so far and will make $50 more when I sell the ten I have made. I sell them for $5 dollars if you haven't guessed yet. I hand knit them all the time now. I try selling them around my neighborhood but only 1 person bought one (our very nice next door neighbors) and two people will buy one eventually. I make more money selling them to my mom's piano students. I put 10% of the money I get into the offering (for tithe) and 20% goes to my fundraiser for church youth camp. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is coming out on DVD for people in the USA (the UK got it last week). I am very excited. You can read my review on it on the page on movie reviews on here. Ruthie is posting again everyone. She did her very last Harry Potter story Sunday. She is going to move onto her life. There just wasn't enough to write about Harry Potter. I know this was a long post about random things but that is a habit of mine.

Sorry I haven't been on lately. I had to do my last post on my sister's computer because mine had viruses. That also had to be a really quick post because it was bedtime. I only have one more section left in my Awana book and it is really easy. I also got an award last night (at Awana) for having a good attitude about getting a "pie" in my face. Let me explain. We have pie in the face night every year at Awana (we all look forward to it). We all bring in change to vote for our favorite leader. Whoever has the most change gets a pie in the face. For the TNT (Truth and Training) girls that leader was Ms. Andrea. Then Ms. Cheryl draws a name for who will get to put the "pie" (it is really just whipped cream) in the leaders face. Ms. Cheryl drew my name and I was very excited. Unfortunately, Ms. Cheryl announced that the leaders had a meeting before and decided to switch the order. The kids were going to get the "pie" in the face and the leaders were going to give it to them. For those people who know me personally, you know that I am the type of person who does not like getting dirty and always tries to have nice manners. I was really upset at first but had to do it. Thankfully, Ms. Andrea did it very nicely (only on my face and barely in my hair). The worst part was the embarrassment. I have to admit, in the end it was fun. I definitely had to wash my face that night because I could smell the whipped cream on me (gross!). So I was awarded for having a good attitude about it in the end.

Emily's Dance Competition

Here is my entry. The theme of these photos is "The Unusual Ruthie."

This photo reminds me of Series of Unfortunate Events because of Count Olaf and V. F. D. I thought this would be an interesting photo. This picture makes the eye seem blank and looking out into the distance. That is something Ruthie will do when she is supposed to be doing school.

Ruthie is a daydreamer sometimes (mainly during school) and this picture shows that.

This shows Ruthie's interesting taste in clothing. She doesn't worry about what anyone else thinks.

Ruthie's Hairstyle

I saw that Phoebe from Love That Doll did this hairstyle on Julie. I decided to do it on Ruthie. Unfortunately, Ruthie has medium, curly hair. Whenever I try to braid her hair the braids stick out of her head. All my dolls have shorter hair, but I do my sister's dolls long hair (well, Emma Lee has medium hair). It is odd that I like long hair but my dolls have shorter hair while my sister likes short hair but two of her dolls have shorter hair and one has medium hair. I also did this hairstyle on myself which worked better because I have wavy/straight, long/medium hair.

In case the pictures aren't clear, Ruthie has three regular braids, a section of hair down, and a small braid. Violet Baudelaire wore this hairstlye in the Series of Unfortunate Events movie. That is actually inacurate because Violet wanted her mom to braid her hair when she was little but her hair just unraveled.

I got back from Cedarville today. IT WAS AWESOME! My favorite part was the music which was led by HeartSong. We played lots of games, ate, and went to chapel. I did stay up all night. I didn't get too sleepy, but I was exhausted. I slept most of the way home. I took a nap before going to pointe today but I'm still a little tired. Everyone in our group that went wants to go next year.

Japan and Other Things (why do I do such random posts?)

Have you heard about the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan? You probably have. They were saying that one earthquake was so big that it moved the earth ten inches in its orbit. That is just scary. In my opinion, that could take away our leap year. I know we won't freeze or burn to death because of this change though because God will take care of us.

You might have seen that I changed my pen name to Kit Snicket. She is one of my favorite characters in Series of Unfortunate Events.

Books Finished

I have finished two of the books on my list that I showed you on my last post. I have finished all of the Series of Unfortunate Events and Bridge to Terebithia.

I loved Series of Unfortunate Events. It was really good. Be prepared to cry on the last chapter of the last book. The very end is happy but makes you want to cry.

I really liked Bridge to Terebithia as well. It was so good till I got to about the ninth chapter. It got really sad. The author is not a Christian possibly because a character doesn't believe that God will send someone to hell (even though that person wasn't a Christian). They also kind of prayed to spirits which was just weird.

Over all, I recommend both of these books. I am now going to read Little Women.

Apology, Orthodontical Work, and Books

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting much. I know I need to more. I had to go to the orthodontist yesterday and found out everything that I have to have done to my teeth. 1. a thing that goes at the top of my mouth that you have to turn with a key to expand the top of my mouth 2. braces 3. rubber bands 4. retainer Then finally I can have almost nothing (I will have a small piece of wire that goes on the back of my bottom teeth forever) on my teeth. That should amount to around 2 1/2 to 3 years. There still is a chance I won't have to get all of that. I still have to see another orthodontist because the other is so expensive. I am finally on the thirteenth Series of Unfortunate Events. I have been reading these books since September, October, or November. I highly recommend them to anyone ages 7 and up. I have a whole list of books that I want to read next. Here they are. 1. Bridge to Terebithia 2. Safely Home 3. Because of Winn-Dixie (I read it when I was 6 but I want to read it again) 4. Frankenstein 5. Swordbird (written by a 13 year old) 6. Peter Pan 7. Jungle Book (written by one of my favorite authors, Rudyard Kipling) 8. Secret Garden 9. Swiss Family Robinson 10. Little Women (I have heard it on audio book a lot and read a shorter version of it but I want to read it again) 11. 1,001 Arabian Nights (recommended by Meghan) 12. Dracula I have many favorite authors but these are probably my favorite. 1. J. K. Rowling (author of the Harry Potter books) 2. David Handler/ Lemony Snicket (author of Series of Unfortunate Events) 3. Roald Dahl (author of Matilda and many other books) 4. Mark Twain (wrote many books) 5. Nancy Yi Fan (the now 14 or 15 year old who wrote Swordbird and Sword Quest) 6. Rudyard Kipling (a writer of books and poetry who was born in India but was British) 7. Lousia May Alcott This is an unusually long post for me. It also includes three topics (apology, orthodontical work, and books). I suppose I just can't stay on topic. That is a talent of mine.

A Writing Disease

I have a writing disease. I don't think I can stop writing. I started the one book that has the first chapter on here and now I started a new book. That isn't including the pass it on book that I am doing with Corsicapeace. The new book I started is called The Adventures of Albus Potter. It is a continuation of the Harry Potter books. I didn't want the Harry Potter books to end so I am writing more of them. When I put them on this blog I will only recommend them to people who have read ALL of the books or people who have seen ALL of the movies (which is impossible because there is still one more).

A Girl with No Talent

This is the first chapter of my new book. The piano teacher is based on my mom, Jillian is based on my friend Hannah, Hope is based on my friend Meghan, and Nicole is based on my friend Bailey. Gia isn't based on anybody. The dance teacher isn't based on my dance teacher. My dance teacher isn't mean like the one in this story.

Hi! My name is Gianna Morgan Brown but you can call me Gia. I am twelve almost thirteen (although my parents won't admit it) and I have positively no talent. I am not joking. I have tried many different activities but none of them work for me. Believe me, I am not exaggerating. Let me explain.

My mom always wanted me to take dance classes. she signed me up for a ballet class. I was okay with it... at first. First of all the teacher started the class by giving a lecture.

"I want you to be here every week," said Ms. Angelica. "Ballet requires commitment and I am not going to teach a class where girls don't come."

She went on and on. Finally we started doing something. I was no good. Ms. Angelica kept telling me to flatten my thighs and not to sickle when I was trying my best. Everyone else seemed to be doing beautifully.

After class was over, Ms. Angelica talked to mom.

"You daughter is not going to be successful in dance," said Ms. angelica.

"I'm sure if she works at it Gia will do fine," said my mom. As I said, mom always wanted me to take dance classes.

"No she won't. You will be wasting your money."

"How can you tell if you've only seen her do it for an hour?"

"I will not let her in this class again and that's final."

So that was the end of ballet for me. Mom tried to get me into tap, but I refused. I wanted to put as much space between Ms. Angelica and myself.

I didn't only try ballet but many other things. I tried gymnastics, horseback riding, piano, basketball and more. Here is what happened with the one's I mentioned.

Gymnastics seemed like something I would be good at. I was flexible and I loved to watch it during the Olympics. I did well when we all had to stretch at the beginning. The trouble started when we got to the beam exercises. I have no balance when I have to balance on a four inch beam of wood. The bar was just as bad. I couldn't hold myself on the bar or pull myself up on it.

When I got home I told my mom how it wouldn't work. It took me forever to convince her to let me quit. that still wasn't the end of my pursuit to find my talent.

You know how I said it took me forever to convince my mom to let me quit gymnastics? Well that was only because I told her I would try piano which happened to be another thing mom wanted me to take. I happened to want to take it as well. I was anxious and excited to try piano.

Piano got off to a good start. My teacher, Mrs. Donna, was very nice. I was very excited until I found out that I wasn't going to be doing very interesting songs at the beginning. I was highly disappointed but decided to keep with it. I wasn't doing too bad, but I wasn't enjoying it. I kept at it for a week. I thought I might eventually start to enjoy it. I continued to think optimistically until I saw my theory homework. I didn't understand any of the different beats or notes. I couldn't even remember where the notes were. I figured the only reason I had survived this far was because I hadn't had any theory homework. I tried to get out of it but my mom wouldn't let me.

"You are going to stick with this, Gianna," said my mom.

"But I can't remember anything from it and I don't enjoy it," I said.

"If you keep at it you will enjoy it. I regret not continuing piano and now I want you to. Besides, the only reason why you can't remember any of it is because you don't want to."

"But, Mom..."

"Gianna, you are going to continue piano."

You've got to understand that the only people who call me Gianna are people I just meet, strict teachers and my mom when she really means something. Whenever she calls me Gianna I know I can't argue anymore.

I still take piano but I still don't enjoy my lessons.

My parents wanted me to do something active in the summer. Before I knew it they had signed me up for horseback riding. I was not excited about this. I am deathly afraid of horses. I think my parents signed me up for it to help me get rid of my fear of horses.

I was scared to death when I walked up to the horse I was going to ride. The horse itself didn't exactly look like it wanted me to ride it. As soon as I got onto the horse it took off. I somehow got hooked on the horse so when it streaked away, I fell down and was dragged along with it. I'd prefer not to go into details of what happened. Let's just say that my parents let me quit and join a summer basketball team instead.

Basketball seemed like fun at first. The only problem was that none of the girls liked me and I was the slowest player on the team. Because of that I sat on the bench every game except for one. That time was a mistake anyway. Everyone else that could possibly take my place was either mysteriously hurt or fouled out. When I did play in that game, I kept fouling other people and getting behind. I kept with the team for the rest of the summer. I told my parents when it was over that I would have been more active that summer if I hadn't played basketball. They said I was active during practice; then I pointed out that I had to sit out of most practices because I had injured myself when everybody came running my way and knocked me over. They couldn't disagree with that.

Currently the only things I have going for me are my best friends Jillian, Hope, and Nicole, and my straight A's in English and literature. What do I have that isn't going for me, piano and no talent?

What I Think of the New AG Stuff

This book looks like fun.

This outfit is alright. It would look alright on certain dolls but not the one that they have it on.

This dog is adorable. I'm not sure I would buy it but my sister would. There is something strange about this dress. It would look alright on a blond doll but still....

This jacket isn't the best ever.

This outfit is just weird. I do not want it at all.

This book is the same as the Doll Hair book which I have except with more color.

I like the chair but I'm not sure about the rest.

I Haven't Abandoned You!

I haven't abandoned this blog. I have just been off my blog. I got a whole box of yarn from my dad when he came back from South Carolina tonight. I have a lot of balling up to do. There is a place,

The grass is colored yellow,

I decided to look for it,
So a candle I lit.

I know it isn't Christmas time anymore but Emily and I were listening to this song during lunch. I decided to put my commentary on this crazy song on my blog. If it is in bold it is the song; if it isn't in bold it is my commentary.

"I want a hippopotamus for Christmas (first of all, this kid is crazy for wanting a hippo)
Only a hippopotamus will do (and quite stubborn)
Don't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy (who doesn't want an AG doll for Christmas?)
I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy (play with and enjoy? A hippo?

Interesting Day

Today has been an interesting day with my dolls. First of all, Ruthie is mad at me again. I think it is because I read her my literature and world studies (also known as history and social studies). I DID let her read about cnidarians with me in science so she should be thankful for that. Currently Kit is trying to act out the story I read to them in literature. It is about Albrecht Durer who painted the Praying Hands. As for Chrissa, she is doing some research on India because of what I read to them in world studies. So today has been an unusual day.

Ice Skating, Snow, and Band

We went ice skating yesterday. We have homeschool skate every month so we decided to go. I finally got the hang of it and could go fairly fast. In other words, I didn't have to hold on to the wall. I fell three times. Two of the times I landed on my stomach. Today I am very sore. I actually have a bruise on my knee that looks like a cowrie shell (it is grew with purplish red dots on it). Today we are getting a lot of snow. Well, only five inches. Because of that we don't have band. I am sad about that. Our homeschool band is going to play with a local college in a few months. The song that we will play with them will be much harder than what I am used to. The songs that I hope we play by ourselves are the following:

What My Dolls do When I'm Not Around (fiction)

This is a journal entry that I did yesterday. I would like to say that this is completely fiction.

My dolls, Kit, Ruthie, and Chrissa, are perfectly still when I am around, but what do they do when I'm not in the room? I once hid a video camera to find out and the results were amazing.

Each of my dolls has their own personality. For instance, Chrissa loves to read, Kit likes to sing and act, while Ruthie loves to cause trouble. All of this was captured in the fifteen minute video I found. Chrissa, being the angelic bookworm she is, took Little Women off my bookshelf and began to read. Kit, being the mild performer she is, took Bridge to Terebithia off my shelf and acted it out by herself. Ruthie, being the curious troublemaker she is, took all of my yarn and began to play with it. Kit and Chrissa stopped their reading and acting to tell her to stop, but she wouldn't. After about five minutes of playing with my yarn, Ruthie decided to get onto my computer to see what I had been writing on my blog. She then played on my computer eight minutes more. Then, Kit hear that I was coming upstairs. She and Chrissa moved like lightening to get every thing back in order. they hurried to their rooms where I had left them. Ruthie continued to play on the computer until I had entered the room. She barely had enough time to get back in place as well as close down my computer.

This goes to show that if you have a troublesome doll like Ruthie, take her with you when you leave the room.

College Football Championship

Tonight is the College Football Championship. This year Auburn (for those of you who don't know, Auburn is a school in Alabama) is playing Oregon. My family is for Auburn. My dad went to Auburn and we used to live in Alabama. I can't remember the last time Auburn went undefeated. I don't think I was born yet. What team do you want to win?

So everyone is finally back in school. I like school in some ways but dislike it in others. Currently Ruthie is mad at me because I read her my literature. AG RAISED THEIR PRICES!

AG has raised the prices of their dolls again. When I got my doll Kit they were only $80; when I got Ruthie and Chrissa they were $95. Now they are $100! This is way too much for a doll. I know that they are specially made and very durable, but isn't this getting a little out of hand? By the time I have kids they will be $300! That is if they haven't gone bankrupt from no one buying them. If they want people to buy them than don't raise the prices. They are really making a big profit considering that it would cost at the most $10 to make a doll. Don't you think that they should lower the prices?

Essential 100

My church is going to do a Bible study together called Essential 100. We will read the Bible 100 days in a row. It is going to give you a good over view of the Bible (along with reading the majority of it). We all have certain passages to read each day that average out to a chapter and a half. An AG Magazine and Poll Results

I turned out that I didn't take a doll with me to my Grandmother's house. The poll was a tie anyway. Thank you to the four people who love my blog even through the slight change of theme. Now that brings me to the poll about who will own Chrissa's blog. The same poll was on Chrissa's blog. The poll results were that I should own the blog. That, however, destroys the point of the blog. The point of the blog is for one doll to write about her adventures at Hogwarts. I do not attend Hogwarts as they do and cannot write for them. Instead, Chrissa will pass her blog onto Ms. Ruth Piper Smithens.

Some of you might have heard that Simply AG Magazine is closing down temporarily. I was disappointed when I saw it. I decided then that I would have my own AG magazine. I started it yesterday and I am sending out an eight (I don't have a lot to put in there yet) page magazine right now.

I got to play the piano for pre-worship service in church today! Pre-worship service is, as you probably guessed, the time before the service. Ms. Angela usually plays while everybody is talking but today she let me do it. I played Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night because those were the ones I had memorized. We are going out of town to see my grandmother Tuesday. I will be able to post again on Thursday. Chrissa has a poll on her blog and would love you to participate in it (to find her blog go to my link list tab). I hope you all have participated in my latest poll and have answered honestly. Last Night, Early This Morning, and The Rest of Today

Emily and I stayed up till 2:45 this morning watching Star Wars two and three (you can read the reviews). The movies together were a little over two hours. We had so much fun watching them. I got the AG book Doll School at Michaels today. I spent hours getting things ready for school for my dolls. I cleaned my closet where they could have their school room in there. I highly recommend the book. You may need to copy some things if you have more than one doll.

Bible quizzing is going to start soon. If you have read and my old blog for a long time you would know what Bible quizzing is. I do have new readers however and I will explain it to you. We have Awana at our church on Wednesday nights. If you get past your fourth discovery by January you can go to Bible quizzing. Bible quizzing is where you review the first half of you book and you go to a church and quiz on it with other kids from different churches. I have done it for three years and LOVE it. We will start it after Christmas break. You are supposed to have partners when you quiz. Because I am the only one that I know of in book four I will have to have a partner from a different church. There aren't many people who get to book four so I will be quizzing against less people which gives me a larger chance of winning. Unless I have a partner though, I will not have a chance at winning. My sister didn't have a partner last year and Mama got to quiz with her so that she would have a partner. There are two sections of the quiz. There is the paddle test and written test. The paddle test is a test that you do in front of everyone. It is multiple choice. You have to lift up the paddle with the correct letter on it. The written test is a test in a different room that is just like a regular test in school. I can't wait!

the Phantom Menace is a Good Movie

I watched Star Wars 1: the Phantom Menace today. It is definitely the best one out of the four I have seen. We are also borrowing the second and third which I hope to watch soon. I don't want to ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it, but there are some things I have to say about it. I will be doing a movie review on it today. This is also my 70th post!

An Odd Post

Have you ever wanted to know something but the easiest way to find out was on your computer? That happens all the time to me. It happens at least once an hour when I'm awake. Yesterday I wanted to know somethings but my computer wasn't working right. I looked in encyclopedias and almanacs but couldn't find what I wanted. Just so you know, I wanted to find out when Star Wars II: the Attack of the Clones came out so I could find something else out. Anyway, I couldn't find it. I finally decided to get on Mama's computer which helped a lot. I have used my calculator so much these two days (I have been calculating people's ages). I also found out how to work Mama's computer. This has been an odd post but thank you for taking you time to read it and all my other posts.

A Post Without a Name

I am having to force myself to post. I think there is something wrong with that phrase. It is Sunday and Grammy is here. My parents are out of town and Grammy doesn't want to drive in the snow. Did I say SNOW? YES! There is snow outside and my sister and I have been playing in it. We were going to make a snowman, but we don't know how to exactly (plus the snow isn't sticky enough). Guess what? I found the book cover for the new girl of the year 2011. She is a Hawaiian girl named Kanani. I wonder what she will look like as a doll. Why hasn't American Girl told anyone about her yet? I think I knew about Lanie by now last year. I thought I should say that you can get free shipping on Lanie currently. I am at a pressing moment. WHAT AM I GOING TO GIVE MY DOLLS FOR CHRISTMAS?! Okay, I am exaggerating majorly. I am considering having a Christmas church service for my dolls. If you have looked at the poll results you should notice that Princess Leia won (Emily was upset that Anakin didn't win).

Story Contest

Corsicapeace is having a story contest. I immediately wanted to enter (I will put the story on here). I haven't actually started, but I have the title and characters planned out (I am going to lay out the story on my wall). The story will be called Read 4 Ever. Kit's Birthday and Other Things

It's Kit's birthday! Tomorrow is her surprise party. Chrissa, Ruthie, Emily, Molly, Gwen, Kirsten, and Jess will all be coming to her surprise party tomorrow. Chrissa will be putting pictures on her blog of the party so make sure to check out those. For those who don't know, Chrissa and Ruthie and my dolls, Emily, Molly, and Gwen and my sister Emily's dolls, and Kirsten and Jess are Crazybear38 and Corsicapeace's dolls. Crazybear38 might be bringing some food for the surprise party and I will be making some out of our Model Magic from science. Chrissa finally did post on her blog today so make sure to check out her latest post. Kit and possibly Ruthie or Chrissa (or both!) will be coming with me to our capital city today (will not say where we live). I would take pictures but considering that my camera is dead even with new batteries (I've had it since we moved to this state) I can't. What Is Going On

Kit's birthday is coming up (December 3). I will have a party for her on the fourth which is a Saturday. I just forgot to make her a present! I'll try to come up with something. I got a study Bible yesterday. I really like it. It has lots of charts and maps in it (and if you know me REALLY well you would know that I love maps, charts, and graphs). We also saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 last night. It was 2 1/2 hours! I will do a movie review on it.

You might have noticed that I have a new page that I write book and movie reviews on. I will write them, but I want you to as well. I will need your email address though. Knights of the Square Table and Camolittle

I just got home from Corsicapeace's house. We made a club called The Knights of the Square Table. We also pretend like we are from Camolittle. We were all knighted different things. Emily was knighted Sir Ron the Arachnophobe (someone who is afraid of spiders), Corsicapeace was knighted Sir Draco the Daring, Crazybear38 was knighted Lady Hermione the Smart, and I was knighted Lady Ginny the Quick-witted. We were all knighted according to our parts in our Harry Potter plays except me. I have to play Harry Potter and I didn't want to be knight Sir Harry the Brave so Corsicapeace changed it. We are all girls but Emily and Corsicapeace play boys in the play. We were going to have a leader but instead we all have equal roles. Besides, a square has four equal sides and since there are four members (unless you count our 2 pages) we all have equal roles. Corsicapeace wrote a pledge which we take. She will be emailing it to me and I will probably memorize it. We do have Excalibur also. It also serves purpose as the Sword of Gryffindor. Our weapons that we have for the club are stick wands (which are useless), lightsabers, fake pistols, a fake shotgun, a fake laser whip, and a basilisk (a snake that will kill you if you look into its eyes but also fake). We don't have the best defence system or organization (I'm working on that) ,but we have lots of fun. Not only do we say our pledge but we say the different house descriptions from Harry Potter. I have had to memorize the Ravenclaw one.

Force Lightning

This is a journal entry for school that I just finished. It took forever and is the longest composition I have written since my book report on Island of the Blue Dolphins (sad, good, and terrible book).

Force Lightning

I have recently become interested with force lightning. I found out about it while watching Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. When Corsicapeace (had to take out her name for this post) and I started writing Star wars plays we knew we wanted to include it. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago we had written ten plays with some containing force lightning. I was researching force lightning and found out that we had a problem. Our plays that we had worked on half the summer were inaccurate! I did some revising of the ones that we hadn't acted out and everything is okay now. I am not writing this to tell you about how I had to revise plays but to teach you about force lightning.

Force lightning is a force ability. It is also known as sith lightning as it was most often used by members of the sith. It sends electricity through someone's body using your hand or fingertips. The more skilled you were with it, the more the bolts would branch out. The more it branched out, the more people you could target. You are unable to dodge force lightning, but powerful Jedi could block it with their lightsabers. Yoda was able to absorb and redirect force lightning using his hands. One short bolt could result in unconsciousness for the victim or death. There are short and long term effects to the user and victim. It deforms the victim and can lead to brain damage, blindness, or being crippled for life. Humans will usually have small seizures all over their body due to a drop in blood minerals. You could avoid some long term effects with complete bed rest and proper treatment. As for the user, it could drain their energy, deform them, and possibly burn holes in their hand. People on the light side could learn to use force lightning if they wanted to. Most Jedi Councils didn't allow it however. There are many different variations of force lightning.

There are a couple of things that you might not have understood if you have seen Star Wars VI. First of all, if force lightning can kill quickly then how come Luke Skywalker didn't die after a short amount of time of being hit with it by Emperor Palpatine? The reason was that Luke was the last of the Jedi and the emperor decided to slowly kill him to watch the last of the Jedi suffer (there is something wrong with the emperor). Also, how come Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker dies? When Anakin (this act made him become his old self again) was throwing the emperor down the reactor chasm some of the force lightning hit him. Because of that his breathing circuit was messed up and he died.

Ruthie: Yes, but that is beside the point. Now you made me forget my speech!

Chrissa: You've been to plenty of restaurants before. What do they usually say?

Ruthie: Thank you Chrissa. Let me start again. Hello everyone. My name is Ruthie and I will be your server today. May I start you off with some drinks?

Kit: What if we said no?

Chrissa: Kit!

Kit: Okay, okay, I would like some Lemonade.

Ruthie: We don't have any.

Kit: Then I'll have some milk.

Ruthie: We don't have any of that either.

Kit: Then what DO you have?

Ruthie: Water.

Kit: Is that all?

Ruthie: Yes.

Kit: Then why did you ask us what we wanted?

Ruthie: I didn't ask you what you wanted to drink. I asked you if you would like to start off with drinks.

Chrissa: That will be fine. Just bring out two waters.

Ruthie: Two waters coming right up.

-five minutes later-

Ruthie: Here are your waters.

Chrissa: Thank you, Ruthie.

Ruthie: Would you like an appetiser or are you ready to order your main course?

Chrissa: We are ready to order our main course. I'll have the classic bistro burger. I want just meat, lettuce, and cheese on it.

Kit: I would like the tic-tac-toe pizza. Don't give me the whole pizza this time.

Ruthie: Then how much pizza do you want?

Kit: Just one-fourth of the pizza.

Ruthie: Your meal will be coming soon.

-ten minutes later-

Ruthie: Here is your food. Enjoy!

-Ruthie leaves-

Kit: They have enlarged the pizza since we were last here. This is as big as the whole pizza I got last time.

Chrissa: You sure do have a lot of pizza. Maybe next time you should get the classic bistro burger like me.

Kit: Well, I guess I'll just eat on it for a couple of days.

Chrissa: Just remember to save room for dessert!

-after the meal-

Ruthie: Would you like some dessert.

Kit: You know we would.

Chrissa: We would each like a double dark chocolate cookie.

Ruthie: Will do!

-five minutes later-

Ruthie: Here are your cookies and your bill. Thank you for eating at Cafe Claire.

Homestudy

Today is the day of our homestudy for the adoption. In case you don't know, we are adopting a girl from China. She will be around the ages of 4-7. We hope to get her in the summer. The homestudy is where a lady is going to come and do a safety inspection (we have been cleaning for days) and interview us. This is an important part in the adoption. I think we are all nervous.

Our Pass It On Book

This is something that nobody (except me and Corsicapeace) has seen. It is the first chapter in our pass it on book. What is a pass it on book? Well, Corsicapeace wrote the chapter you are going to read and then I wrote the next. We will continue on like that until we decide that it is done. You must know that this is a book that has combined Corsicapeace and I (we changed our names) and Star Wars. The character like me is Skylar Holly_____ and the character like Corsicapeace is Arie Adrian _____. We don't really like to invent as Skylar and Arie do but everything else is pretty much like ourselves. Enjoy!

Chapter 1: The Two Inventor Girls

Hey! Who says boys are better at inventing then girls?! I'll tell you one thing. Arie and Skylar were better inventors then most professionally trained inventors let alone boys their age. And now, these two complete opposite friends were fixing to invent their biggest invention yet. A ship that would take them to the farthest reaches of the galaxy and... Well, let me start from the beginning.

Arie and Skylar had been friends for as long as they could remember, as long as their parents could remember, as long as anyone in the whole neighborhood could remember. They were great companions but yet total opposites. Skylar had long, solid, flowing brown-blond hair; Arie had solid medium grown hair cut to her chin with lots of layers. Skylar was graceful and elegant; Arie was reckless, wild, and randomly crazy. Skylar was an excellent dancer and very flexible; Arie was more into running and playing large games with lots of kids then fancy dancing. Despite their differences, they both loved reading, writing, inventing, and Star Wars which often inspired their inventions. They were planning to visit a Star Wars planet, that is, if they could decide which one.

"Did you check the hyperdrive yet?" asked Skylar. "I'm working on it!" came a muffled yell from under the massive rocket. There was loud clanking noise and the next moment Arie emerged happily. "She's ready to go, captain," she said with a mocking grin. "Oh, be quiet!" said Skylar. "You know as well as I do that your gonna be the one driving this thing," she declared. "I'm going to navigate," she beamed proudly. "Yeah, you better because I can't handle all those fragile little instruments," Arie answered. "THAT'S because you don't have the patience," stated Skylar matter-of-factly. "You're no one to talk," said Arie. "Fine, but at least I have more patience then you," said Skylar in a slightly whiny voice. "Oh, who cares?! Come one, let's rock this hunk of metal!" They boarded the ship and blasted off... to somewhere.

How did you like it? I might release some more of the chapters on another day. You never know, I might release one of our Star Wars plays one day. I do know one thing for sure. Corsicapeace and I can't stop writing different pieces of literature. Whether it is plays, books, or poetry we will continue writing.
